Hiking Trails in Anchorage

There are many scenic hiking trails in Anchorage and the surrounding area. The trails range from easy hiking to difficult hiking trails. There is something for everyone.

Flattop Mountain

The trail starts on wooden stairs. It then becomes a winding trail that will take you high above Anchorage with an amazing view of the entire city, encompassing mountain range, and the Cook Inlet. On a clear day, you will see Mt Susitna, as we call her, The Sleeping Lady, and Fire Island. It is a nice hike. Final climb is somewhat strenuous, but at this point you can see the end.
